The gong is one of the oldest instruments used for healing, and its sound moves differently than anything else you'll hear. Layers of overtones ripple through the room, rising and falling, and your body responds before your mind catches up. Muscles gently soften. Breath deepens. Thoughts that felt urgent an hour ago start to loosen their grip. Some people drift into something close to sleep. Others stay fully awake and present the whole time. Some slip into the edges of dream, into the subconscious.
